Rejoice in the Lord always
Phillipians 4-9
(4) Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (5) Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. (6) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (7) And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
(8) Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (9) Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Jeremiah 29:11-13
(11) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (12) Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. (13) You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Isaiah 61:1-3
(1) The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, (2) to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, (3) and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
Psalm 34:1-10
(1) I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. (2) I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. (3) Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. (4) I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. (5) Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. (6) This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. (7) The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. (8) Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. (9) Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. (10) The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
Psalm 34:17 & 18
(17) The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. (18) The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
